Day 3: Friday
What’s that? We made it to day 3!
Breakfast juice for day 3 was the remainder of the kale-banana puree from day 2.
For lunch I had a homemade tuna wrap (YUM!) and then made this for the end-of-the-day juice:
This baby is one half of a pineapple, 2 oranges & 1 Granny Smith apple….. oh BABY!
I was so excited about the pineapple that I forgot to get a photo of it before I ran it through the juicer.
Fresh pineapple is already the best thing on earth…. but juiced!? WOW! I made myself only use half of the pineapple. So there’s another half in the fridge waiting to be used. Maybe tomorrow?
It tasted amazing!
A few things that surprise me about juicing:
1. I find myself not craving sugary things. . . well, fruit, yes. . . but not refined sugars. Last night I tried to imagine eating ice cream and it sounded gross. Too heavy, too sweet, just too much.
2. When the juice is substituting a meal, I am satisfied. I might miss the “chewing” of food, but I don’t feel unsatisfied and hungry.
which all leads me to. . .
3. I’m liking this ALOT more than I thought I would!
